Can't log in after leaving it open in browser

Hi. This is the second time this has happened to me for some reason. I was making changes (which went fine) and left the page open then walked away. Came back, woke my computer up and the screen said something to the likes of ..."reestablishing connection to device"...at top of screen in a light red box.

I closed the tab because nothing was happening. Opened a new tab, typed in IP, nada. So, tried logging in via PUTTY, nada. Oh, tried a different browser too, as well as http://

Good thing is that it is still functioning, passing data, my timer (POE port on at 6 am, off at 7 pm) is working (that was my last change).

Last time this happened I had to power cycle the device. Unfortunately it is up on a mountain that I'd rather not go to. Thinking about putting in a device that would allow me to power cycle the switch remotely but that doesn't help me now.

Any ideas?

What version of code are you running?

When you said you were making changes and then walked away...did you save changes before you walked away?

What browser are you using?

1.51rc4....maybe? I have a few of these and I'm not sure if I updated that one in particular to the newest due to it being my main switch with all my sectors on it....too scary to make a change when everything is working.

Yes, I saved the changes and it worked fine. Just left the page open and was watching traffic pass for a few minutes before walking away.
