Re: Learning/Forwarding/Discarding
Flapping port could be caused by a lot of things.
Here are some reference's of other people troubleshooting them:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5765&p=30689&hilit=flapping+port#p30689
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4988&p=28209&hilit=flapping+port#p28209
and if needed I'm sure you can find more by searching "port flapping".
But couple things to check:
- Ethernet port in switch could be damaged - try different port in switch
- Ethernet port in device is damaged swap device
- Or cable and or Ends - Sometimes simply unplugging the connection and replugging it back in will fix it.
- Check to see if the radio itself is rebooting continuously, maybe the power draw from the radio is overloading the switch if the battery or connected wire's have any issue's.
- Make sure you're on the latest firmware 1.5.5 there have been fixes added in the past for port flapping.
If none of this helps please post the port, status, stp, and Device->Config tab's so we can try to help you further.
