Port Bandwidth Limiting

Sat Feb 22, 2020 12:56 am

We just installed a WS-12-400-AC. I can't find a configuration manual. We really need to configure bandwidth limits on the ports.
I am guessing that this is done on the QoS tab, and by adding a TX and RX limit. When I attempt to do this I get an "invalid fields" error.
Please advise - I would greatly appreciate some help.

On the QoS Tx/Rx Limit you can express limits as "100K", "10M", "500M" etc.

Thank you. That worked. I hadn't found anywhere that you needed to add an alpha symbol saying M or K behind the number. Assumed it automatically would be a M input.

You're welcome,

To save you time in the future, on most of the web UI you can over your mouse over the inputs and a tooltip should popup to tell you the expected format for input.

Only in this case the tooltip indicates "10Mbps, 1.5Kb/s" And it won't accept that format
