Thank you millst, I will send you a test firmware along with uberdome,
Here is the thread for the new WS3's coming out.

You'll notice people are understandably getting a bit anxious. Which is partly why my effort's have been so focused.
It has been in the works for a few years now. And we're ALMOST ready to release.
Big thing about them they will support SFP+ at 10G (but there are several other feature's discussed in the thread).
mike99 has been doing some beta-testing for us I have a new firmware to send him next week as well with massive improvements over what he talked about in that thread.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
Just to follow up here. I have been unable to reproduce the bug so far. I have 2 laptops running a VLC stream on a VLAN on a WS-12-250-AC with 1.5.5 installed and it has run for several days without any interruption. I am getting more equipment to add further multicast sink's to the switch and add another stream running at the same time to see if I can force the error. I'm sure I've seen it before myself so I have no doubt it can occur. Just need to bring it out.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
Stephen, to clarify your configuration, do you have IGMP snooping on and no IGMP querier on the Netonix VLAN?

IGMP snooping enabled, querier is active on the VLAN.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
I'm not sure how millst has his system configured, but I have the querier disabled on the VLAN. If there is existing multicast routing taking place, there should be no need for the querier.
I think the VLC streaming handles the multicast routing at the computer, so the querier should be disabled, but I am not certain about that.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
Hmm, well I don't have a router that can act as a querier on my network. I will have to check to see if VLC has it's own form of querier built in. But that would seem odd too me unless it's a configurable option somewhere. I believe that right now my issue is I'm not pushing it hard enough so as soon as my new equipment show's up I will have about 6 client's attached to the stream and if I still can't replicate, will make multiple stream's across a couple VLANs.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
Stephen,
I have one of our production units failing now. I don't need to change anything, so I have some time to be able to get some information from it, or possibly get you access to it.
Everything was working fine. We have one customer on IPTV on this connection. The "IGMP Snooping" page showed the correct Active Querier and the correct multicast address as they would change channels. After a few days, I received the call that TV stopped working. I disabled IGMP Snooping and their TV came right back up, but now the TV stream is going out every port. If I enable IGMP Snooping, the Netonix stops passing multicast traffic entirely.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
Would you mind sending me the config file for it? Also if possible, let me know approximately how much bandwidth the multicast packets constituted.

Re: RTP Multicast Problem
I just sent the config file via PM.
In this case, the Netonix is seeing ~80 Mbps of traffic. It is just one multicast stream almost always, and it ranges from 1.2 Mbps to 4 Mbps depending on which stream the user is requesting. During channel changes, there are additional streams for a short time.
