Re: v1.5.5 Bug Reports and Comments
Chris is handling RMA's...Ian the tech who does most of the work, has been out sick basically for the last 3 months.....we have an automated RMA portal done that will handle issuing RMA numbers.....its all waiting for Chris.
Re: v1.5.5 Bug Reports and Comments
Well, that's good and everything. But we have a RMA number, and the switch was sent in to Netonix for DOA/repair in september 2019. And we have been asking for what's happening with the switch, but no one is answering out emails. If this is Netonix RMA service, then we sure hope someone else is going to offer alternative WISP switches soon....

What's up with the RMA situation here - are we still waiting for *someone* to respond to emails sent to rma@netonix.com?

Yep.
So, Ubiquiti EdgePoint S16's it is from here out I guess.
Since Chris seems to be completely MIA at this point, anyone else at Netonix reading this is certainly free to pass along my frustration, and the loss of my business - the financial impact of my business to Netonix is admittedly just a statistical anomoly, but I'm apparently by no means alone in my sentiment and frustrations here.
Sad to watch what was (for me) a pretty solid and versatile product go completely to hell from lack of support and neglect like this.
Chris has my (and others) contact information if he want's to plead his case, but I'm surely not going to sit around and wait for an email or a call. Been doing that for two months already - time to move on.

Re: v1.5.5 Bug Reports and Comments
+1 for that. Lack of service and support is no good no matter how good the products are. So bye bye Netonix..... You still owe me a switch that cost us ~550$! Shit company.

Stay safe & strong Dave! It's really hard for all of us who are used to 1's & 0's to come to grips with living on another planet. Hard to RMA when all the parts sources dry up. The cheapness of humanity that in turn allows ubiquiti to have cheap prices is the same mindset that bred an environment that leads to the pollution & diseases that will kill off our kids.

New switch with 1.5.5 would not forward packets. Downgraded to 1.5.3, forwarding normally, upgraded back to 1.5.5 and it's continuing to forward packets normally.

Re: v1.5.5 Bug Reports and Comments
hi,
we have a headache which looks like it is a netonix issue.
we have 60GHz and 5ghz links in an active backup setup. All the ones that work direct between Mikrotik routers work fine.
However the ones that have a switch in the way with various radios on we use Vlans to link the backup source/destinations.
This worked perfectly until we upgraded the netonix switches, however we did not realise at the time until we had issues when the 60G links dropped in heavy rain.
the issue means the secondary active backup does not work, some sort of ARP screw up or similar on Vlans means the bonding backup system fails to properly fail over and traffic stops.
i see from another thread there have been Vlan issues and somebody suggested downgrading then re-upgrading to resolve. We upgraded due to the memory leak that turned out to be with some discovery protocols, so we disabled them.
Is there a confirmed issue with Vlans and not working properly as yet and a fix date?
thanks
Bill
