How can I remotely apply PoE power to a port that has an active data connection?
We just deployed a new WS-26-DC switch to a site with a MikroTik CCR1009 router. The MikroTik router has commercial power but I was also planning to PoE power it over it's data connection (port 24 of the Netonix switch). Dual powered MT devices is a standard configuration we use at many sites.
When I log into the switch (over the data connection to port 24) and attempt to enable PoE on port 24, the choices are grey'd out - presumably a safety precaution.
Can I override this safety precaution?

Re: Need to enable PoE power on an active port
Solution is disabling port. On netonix, or routerboard. It is not usable in every situation, I know ...
But I too need POE on active link.

I have done this by backing up a config, editing the file, and then restoring the modified config.
Try it on the bench first. I recall having some issues that bricked a switch and required a factory reset.
