Port stays disabled after enabling

So I have an issue that I have had happen twice now on two different switches. Ones is a WS-12-250-DC and the other a WS-26-250-DC. Both running 1.5.5. In both cases I have a connection to another switch using an FS.com DAC+ cable. If the switch boots with the port disabled, it will stay disabled after I re-enable it from the gui. THe only way to get the port active again is to reboot the switch.
