We have recently shipped out and installed a WS-12-250-DC switch at one of our new installation sites. Upon arrival we found that the switch would not power on. There were no dents in it, and so we do not believe it was damaged in transport. We confirmed that the switch was receiving power using a meter, but no lights were coming on. We left it running overnight but still, nothing came up.
We had the device configured before we had shipped it out, so we know it worked at least once. This device was actually the second switch we had configured, the first one had the same issue but we hadn't shipped it out and I figured it was a fault with that specific device. With the first switch I could tell that there were lights turned on inside the actual device, but none of the front panel lights came up.
I'm just wondering if there's anything we can do to get these devices working again, as I think we've had a similar issue in the past and if it happens in the future I want to know if we can salvage these devices on site or if we'd have to send them in for repair.

Re: WS-12-250-DC does not turn back on after powering off
The first thing you should try is a power on factory rest. Completely turn off the power, then as you re-apply power press and hold the reset button behind the face plat of the switch for 15 seconds (bottom left of the SFP ports.) Then wait a few minutes to see if the switch powers back on and comes back online. If this doesn't work then there is probably something wrong with the motherboard. So go to this website and begin the RMA process. send us your switch and we will take a look at it. https://rma.netonix.com/.
I hope this helps.
