Good morning all
I have been using the DUDE from Mikrotik for quite a while for network monitoring but I find it very complicated to set up with the Virtual machine I find it unbearable between the PCs that turn off and then the network that crashes. is a bit complicated ...
So I looked at the watchdog of the netonix switches, have some people already done network monitoring with the existing WATCHDOG I still have almost more than 150 devices to monitor outside, apparently it works well we can put a wording on the IP
Have some already done so? Is this valid? In addition, the switch is never cut and continuously monitors all external devices
I don't want to go through Windows anymore because it constantly reboots with these updates and never restarts the software properly ...
I would like to have your opinions
WatchDOG TEST ???

Stephen can you add in a future update if possible to integrate the GPS position and the location in the email because that we can add more words is important for us
Thank you

Re: WatchDOG TEST ???
I will be releasing a new RC soon. Hopefully in the next week or so. I will try to get it in that release.

Re: WatchDOG TEST ???
Hello quadra,
Really? It's working for me.
Be sure you are on firmware 1.5.6
Also, be sure SMTP is working in the config and you also need to have a Longitutde and Latitude value set under GPS in Device->Configuration
IMPORTANT, if the Longitude or Latitude are empty - they will be omitted from the email.
If you have done all this, then watch the logs on the switch. When a watchdog failure happens, it will make a log entry and then send all relevant information to the email you have setup under SMTP.
