Warranty and RMA

Tue Sep 08, 2020 2:39 pm

Hello,

I've bought MANY switches from Netonix spending thousands of dollars on your equipment. We recently installed a switch that failed immediately aftewards. Literally 2 days later it was DEAD. No storms, no lightning strikes, no surges, just DEAD.

Sent it in for RMA and warranty repair only to get the result of a power supply failure and a $100 charge to fix......WHY????????? WE DID NOT DAMAGE THE SWITCH IT WAS FAULTY. YET YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR IT?

RMA# 20200108

Since there is no email to contact you on your website, I had to post it publicly here to hopefully get this resolved.......

I "think" I do remember the unit your talking about which Ian showed it to me, the AC power supply was fried with big burn marks which would indicate a surge from the AC power side.

Ian should have uploaded the picture to the RMA portal for your review, I am having him do this now and change the status of the RMA to Repair and Completed so you can get it back after you pay for the repair.

Here is a picture of your unit.

Notice the damage is on the AC input side of the power supply which means a surge came in through the AC side and fried the power supply.

I also am having him include your old power supply in the box when returned so you can clearly see first hand why this is not warranty.

I am sorry it was only in service a short time and this happen to you but this is not out fault.

Would be like buying a new car and wrecking it as you pull out of the dealership, still not covered under any warranty, just really really bad luck and a terrible day.

By the way surges do not only occur during storms, sadly sometimes they just happen.

Amazing considering it was connected to a UPS and NO OTHER EQUIPMENT WAS DAMAGED IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING.....TIME TO FIND ANOTHER VENDOR FOR SWITCHES...................THANKS FOR NOT STANDING BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT YET AGAIN, I'LL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE...
