Bello i have vlucht soms mini netonix switch and soms 250 ac wisp switch we gonna Renew all off or sites and change form ubnt AP to meraki mr84 latets Ap models can we power the AP with the Netonix wisp switch or not ? And what power on poe port. Or should we use exrenel poe 30 w disco poe suply and sur the wisp switch only for data trafic monitoring ?

Looking at the documentation, MR84 model could be powered up by just using the "48v" option.

Doesn't look like any pin swapping is required as it supports the PoE standard.

I'm not familiar at all with Meraki hardware, but I have the suspicion those are all going to be at least 802.3af PoE and more likely 802.3at.
If that's true, those are "active" PoE protocols that do handshaking to set their power requirements (even if it is always 48V).

Netonix WS are passive PoE and do not do that handshake.

I suggest you better test one first, because my guess is it will not work.

Netonix will send the power without waiting for the handshake so yes, it should work. Netonix work with most 802.3af/at device.

Indeed I agree, the WS will send the power regardless since it does not handshake.

What I ran into a few years ago was, I think, Cisco aironet radios that would light the power LED, but refuse to boot without the 802.3af POE. (Of course that may have just been Cisco trying to sell more Catalyst POE switches.)

I guess I have been burned too many times, so I've learned my "try one or two first" idea is better than running out and buying a truckload. :)

OK the meraki mr84 i tested and works on the 48V
only in the dashboard of meraki it tells
9.67 W
PoE 802.3af (running in low power mode)

so it works fine
