Well ports 1-2 and 1-4 depending on the WISP Switch Model is capable of 48VH but they are also capable of 24V and 48V which is configurable in the UI.

But if you accidentally turned the POE on at 48V or 48VH it would fry a normal 24V Rocket yes.

You should NEVER be plugging or unplugging devices in and out of LIVE POE ports, always plug the cable in with the POE OFF then if it is a new cable run the cable diagnostics on the port first with the device connected to make sure there are no cross shorts then apply the proper POE.

An airMAX radio that is 10/100 will report

NOTE: Surge Ethernet suppressor will mess with cable diagnostics.

If you see different pair lengths this is an indication that that cable was damage during installation, either stretch or kinked - REPLACE IT OR YOU WILL GET ERRORS

You can NOT power devices like Cambium or Motorola PTP600 because they are a different pin out. ALWAYS CHECK POE PIN OUTS FIRST.

But just like with the TOUGH Switch if you set the POE to 48V on a 24V device you probably will fry the device yes.

This would be no different then using a 48V POE brick on a 24V radio which would result in a dead radio!!!!

It might only have fried a protection diode. Let's say you violated the warranty by doing this already anyway. On some models, some people have opened the radio and found that you can unsolder the diode and the radio will start working again, albeit without the protection feature.
