I'm trying to move a WS-26-500-DC from the default ip address to one on our management vlan. The MAC Table shows that it is talking on that vlan ok:
however, when I configure the Device address onto that network, connectivity is lost, its address never responds to pings from a directly connected device and the config reverts back to 192.168.1.20 after the timeout. The same behavior whether using port 1 or port 10...

Easiest way around this from what you've described would likely be to just use a console cable and update the IP via the CLI.

After entering conf t mode I entered revert timer 180 and it gave me the time I needed. The problem I had is it would ping 2x and then loose accessibility for another 30 seconds and then revert.
