Looking for someone that has an AF5X that would like to purchase a new WS-12-250-AC?
We know the AF5X works fine with our standard 24V ports but would like to confirm (technicality) that our new 24VH ports also work with the unit.
Please post here if you would like to buy and EARLY release today and test this feature for us, we will throw in the 19" rack mount ears if you need/want them.

keefe007 wrote:Which models all have the 24H ports?
This model (WS-12-250-AC) has 24VH and 48VH with 1.8A versus 1.2A on ports 1-4 and the standard 24V and 48V on the rest of the ports are now .75A verses .5A
However let it be known that our normal 24V is just fine for powering AF5X which it has been doing so for months and reported by several people who have the AF5X.
We are just upping the power on ports and adding 24VH to make sure we can handle any radio anybody dreams up in the future, just makes sense right.
But we just want to be able to say we tested our 24VH ports with the AF5X and all is good WHICH IT WILL BE but we need empirical proof thus we are offering to sell one before the official release so we can market is as such.

I won't have AF5X for about a month or so, per streakwave. :( I'd love to test otherwise.

Re: WS-12-250-AC EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
I was going to sell the half dozen or so engineering samples of the WS-12-250-XX but Dave decided from thermal testing in our easy bake ovens under heavy POE load at the upper most thresholds of 50C to 55C it was better to change the Poly Fuses to a different style and manufacturer so the sample units I have I can not sell, sorry.

May I know how do I determine which variant of the 12-port switch I should get to power the Ubiquiti Unifi AC access point?
Btw, can these switches be powered via PoE themselves?

The WS-6-MINI is the only model that can be powered via 48VH PoE from an upstream WISP switch. It can also be powered by a passive PoE injector.

Any WISP switch can power UniFi.
