WS-26-500-DC Thinks it's a WS-26-400-AC
We've got a WS-26-500-DC that thinks it is a WS-26-400-AC in the GUI/console. I saw in an old thread about something similar with a 12-port switch and it could be fixed via SSH. Could we get some assistance correcting this? Our company security policies do not allow us to provide remote access to any computers from outside our organization though.

Your only and BEST option then would be to RMA the unit.
We can not provide the commands to change this as it allows a lot of changes - Sorry.

you could add a drop down menu with a list of model types to select to your serial recovery tool, that way your clients wouldn't have to mail their switches across the country for a simple reflash, while not opening your switches up to changing things you don't want them to
