1.5.25 resolves SFP issues experienced on 1.5.24 with multiple tagged VLANs (non trunk) not forwarding traffic except for a tagged management VLAN. No LAG/STP/DHCP snooping/Isolation configured.
Thank you.

KBrownConsulting wrote:Just upgraded my test WS-8-150-AC from 1.5.24 to 1.5.25 simply & successfully.
I can confirm the following items are working better:
- SMTP test when FromAddress empty now works - 1.5.25
- PingWatchdog alert GPS corruption fixed - 1.5.25
- Traceroute resolve ips checkbox fixed - 1.5.25
I also haven't noticed any erroneous alerts about the switch rebooting so it looks like the following is also good:
- false alert about the switch rebooting has been fixed - 1.5.25
But I still can't get non-watchdog email alerts to work.
As with the last couple versions the switch no longer seems to send Link Change alerts anymore. (I'm not sure exactly when it stopped working since I didn't catch it right away and haven't reloaded all the recent firmware releases to figure out which broke it, but I suspect it was around the time of major code rewrite in 1.5.17)
As I reported in 1.5.24, the switch is definitely recognizing a Link Change event took place as it's recorded in the log, but it simply doesn't try to send an email. (Nothing in the log about trying to send an email and one never shows up.)
Additionally in this version I decided to try and test the "Fans" alert and that one seemingly isn't working either. I'll admit I'm not 100% sure how the "Fans" alert is triggered, but "for science" I tried to test it by simply sticking something in the fan while it was spinning to bring it to a full stop. On the Status page the "Fan 1 Speed" changed to "ERR" but 30 seconds later it still hadn't tried to send an email...
The fact that I can't get either the "Link Change" or "Fans" alerts to work makes me suspect all 5 of the non watchdog email alerts are broken...
I do use the Link Change alerts and hope that can be fixed sooner rather than later and ironically, after using Netonix switches for over 5 years with no fan issues, in the last 6 months I've had fans die in 2 different switches and it was really nice to get an email alert about it...
I actually spent a lot of time on this, even implemented a brand new package to monitor log's when I realized I was doing testing wrong.
Let's start with just the Link Change.
To test this properly, I found it easier to have 2 switch's. Let's say switch A and B.
Switch B should be configured to send Link Alerts.
Switch A will be used to force a link speed change to trigger it.
So first, make sure there is a 1G link between Switch A and Switch B.
We have to wait at least 5 minutes after any change on this link (as in it should stay 1G for 5 minutes)
Then, on Switch A, force a link speed change from 1G to say, 100M
This will trigger Switch B to send the email.
Please try this and let us know if you still see issue's.

Re: v1.5.25 Bug Reports and Comments
I have confirmed our MANAGER software will need upgraded to deal with the newer firmware.
You can use it to upgrade switches but after upgrade to the v1.5.2x it will mo longer launch web UI or console.
I apologize, but we'll fix it soon.

Re: v1.5.25 Bug Reports and Comments
Has everyone confirm v1.525 solved multicast, PPPoE, and such?
Moving to fix Manager to work with v1.5.25 after upgrade. (This week).
Then finish Ws3-14E 2.5G copper ports firmware and pre sales rekease. Firmware will also support current WS3.
Then WS3-16E and tower switch.
Then add routing to WS3 line including OSPF and bandwidth control rules, 4048 rules per swith. Again firmware will run existing WS3.
Some (few) reported initial issue with SNMP after upgrade but solved issue with reboot, disable / enable SMMP, ONE claimed cold reboot fixed. Once upgraded to v1.5.25 all problems should be fixed?

Re: v1.5.25 Bug Reports and Comments
Happy New Year all! We're out of our network freeze this week so we'll be bench testing and, if that goes well, deploying .25 to some production hosts over the next week. Cheers for the updates on things thus far, updates in this thread looking good.
At this point, it should probably be labeled 1.6.0!

Everything going well here. I have about 50 switches upgraded to 1.5.25, about 12 with SFP ports, including one switch that has 173 VLANs configured.
Maybe put a blurb on the downloads page that the switch should be rebooted one more time after the upgrade?

Lab testing good so far no issues. Will be rolling out to an initial field location and let you know how that goes.
Today is an average day: Worse than yesterday, but better than tomorrow.

1.5.25 is lab testing well so far, will be deploying to select prod hosts over the next week or so. In regards to the SNMP issue after upgrading, I can confirm it looks like that has been resolved. SNMP data is missing briefly after post-upgrade boot but it returns (<5 mins later) without any manual intervention needed.

Re: v1.5.25 Bug Reports and Comments
New Manager to be released soon to work properly with v 1.5.18 and newer.
Then hopefully back on WS3-14E and new tower switches.
At first SFP+ and 2.5G copper initially release. Pre sales 8 weeks +/-.
Then firmware upgrade eventually offering full routing ability with bandwidth management. (6 to 12 months).
NEW WS3 firmware will support existing WS3 model.
Would be awesome if all you needed is switch/router at tower.
NEW WS3 models reinforced to better deal with ground current a WISPs worst enemy. Often self imposed but even with good grounding its always a danger.
NEW WS3 models will allow you to monitor AC ground current passing through switch to help improve grounding and spot terrible grounding in need of upgrade.

I'm sure you already know the issues with the Manager.
I was able to modify the main.html page by commenting out the 'Model', 'Firmware', & 'Temp' fields.
By doing that I at least get my full list of devices back.
Hopefully that helps a little in your update programming.
