As a test, can you try putting your SFP into one of the SFP ports on the right side (ports 21-24), and see if bad voltage/temp readings get fixed?

I will give that a try, anything else that you can think of that might help the soft reboot issue? The reporting thing isn't as much as a problem to me as the soft reset is.

Reason I ask is the site is about an hour and a half away from me, so I don't want to make more trips then I have to.

Updated a WS-12-250A (the one I got in the forum contest!) this morning from 1.1.0rc18 and all is good. This is the first time I restarted it since I put in in service almost 4 months ago. As far as I could tell I didn't miss a ping on the update and the subsequent (2nd) reboot. Not sure how you do that but it does make updates a lot easier to do.

This switch is in a location with good power and good UPS + batteries, so we never had many problems with power. I just ordered some MINIs and I will be putting these in some more difficult locations as far and the power grid is concerned. I am hopeful your power supply is better than the standard POEs we have now. I am also exited to be able to have one battery bank for 48V and 24V.

The WS-6-POE does not have a power supply?

Can be powered by:
48VH 1.5A passive POE port from another WISP Switch.
48-53V DC POE adapter up to 2A
48-53V DC barrel connector up to 2A

I was going to say the same thing, pull that SFP module out and reboot the switch and see if the switch reports the proper temperature and voltage.

Yes please try a DIFFERENT make SFP module.

I think that SFP module is messing with the I2C communications in a BAD way.

What is in port 4, it has a 10Mbps connection?

What is in port 6?

Can you post screen grabs of the Ports and VLAN Tabs?

I am going to head out there and unplug that SFP in a little bit. I will post back with the results of that.

Port 4 is a packet flux site monitor, it is normal for it to sync at 10m/half as that is all it will do.

Port 6 is a 48 Volt Grandstream Camera we use to watch the tower site.

One thing I noticed with this release is that I still had to add one VLAN in order to get VLAN trunking to work. Was this fixed?

I am happy to report that removing it did fix the stats issue. We will have to wait and see if that fixes the soft reset issue though.

I've been using these modules all over the place, this is the first time it's ever caused an issue like this. However this is the only Netonix switch I have that had one in it.

I am using these modules in Dell Switches, Cisco, Mikrotik, and Foundry Networks and they don't seem to have any issues. I am going to test this one though, could just be a bad module I suppose.

The fact that you use these module does not mean "this" module is not bad. I have a bad sfp module on my desk that does unspeakable things to switches yet it's brother sitting beside it works fine. To determine if it is a bad module or and incompatible module you first need to try an exact same known good module in this switch and have it fail.

If you want to continue to use those modules and you want to see if we can change something in software to make it compatible as we have done in the past you need to supply us with the make and model number so Eric can procure one to test with.
