Every TOUGHswitch customer should RMA the sh.... product. UBNT's silence is convincing me that they know about the problem and just want everyone to forget it. That's the cheapest way for them....

I have now taken a look at all my Netonix switches. None of them have registered any RX Pause or TX Pause packets....

My switches will send Pause Frames back to the Router, I see them big time on my switches but I use Cisco Routers. If you read further up this thread I think I put up screen grabs of my pause frames?

If you have Flow Control Enabled on ports feeding 100M AP's and the 1G port feeding the switch connected to the Router you should get Tx Pause Frames on the Switch interface connected to the Router but sadly according to Matt the EdgeMAX Routers do not support Flow Control which may be why you are not seeing these NEEDED pause frames which will lead to slow download speeds to customers.

With Half Duplex radios with a capacity less than the reported link speed Pause Frames will happen on the port feeding the switch from the router but if you are using an EdgeMAX router the will not happen since the router does not support Flow Control.

Now if you are using 1G AP's 1G ports get assigned larger buffers from the shared buffer memory and may not being generated depending on quality of wireless links and traffic types.

How do you see the port details like the image where you circled Tx Pause?

Click on the little gear on the Status Tab to the far right side of each port row or if running firmware version 1.3.0 the gear is also on the Ports tab.

In fact that gear take you to the cable diagnostics test which YOU SHOULD RUN BEFORE YOU APPLY POE!!!!

Anytime you see a gear you should click on it to see what lies within.

In fact look around the UI as there are "many" clickable things like changing the graphs to report current or selecting different time intervals.

Wait until you see some of the features coming out in v1.3.0 because those gears will be used more and more to bring up other screens.

V1.3.0 has more hidden fruit like the last known IP for MAC addresses.

I believe we are the FIRST Layer 2 switch to display not only the IP but we also display the last known IP address.

Running 1.2.0 and it isn't appearing for me in chrome. I have status but no "pop over" it just changes the port details at the bottom to that port.

Checked in safari and a status "pop over" comes up. Guess it is an issue with Chrome. I never would have known that detail existed in the web page.

Do not know what to tell you, I am running Chrome and the gear is on the "Status" Tab at the end of each Port Row as shown in the picture above.

Maybe you are ZOOMED, try making sure you are not zoomed but at 100%

Post a screenshot of your screen on the Status Tab

The gear is there with three options:

Cable Diag
Port Bounce
Port Details

Port details doesn't do anything in Chrome Version 42.0.2311.152 (64-bit) on OSX.

Works fine in Safari.

Same version as I am running?

Something is not right with your browser security settings, maybe you have POP ups disabled too far?
