hi;
we are purchased a new WS-24-400A(board rev D) to replace 3 toughtswitches.
Firmware Version
1.3.2
Board Rev
D
we added 300 vlans on it. but it is just a disappointment!
after adding this vlans the switch is become more unstable, and some of the vlans are not working and web interface is working terrible horrible slow! and the cpu is %89 more.
what is the problem about vlans ? if i cant add more than 300 vlans why i bougt this product ? Also we didnt find a documentation about how many vlan we can enter.
note: the product you are comparing on the web page ubnt tought switches are more stable than yours about vlan!

Re: WS-24-400A - MAX VLANS
The MAX number of VLANs is 4096.
The number of VLANs has nothing to do with the CPU utilization.
Something else has to be going on.
Maybe you can PM me a link so I can download your config and review it?

Re: WS-24-400A - MAX VLANS
the switch working. but when we add our vlans on it, it is getting stuck and some vlans are not works. and cpu gettin %89 more.
because of this we remove all the vlans on it and make the ports trunk.

I believe this is the correct thing to do. All of your ports get trunked to port 25, so there is no need to actually add all 300 VLANs. This is exactly why we have the Trunk option.
You are correct that the UI does not handle having 300 VLANs configured very well, and I will probably look into optimizing this a bit.

Re: WS-24-400A - MAX VLANS
but we need those vlans. because of the network security and we have to decide which vlan goes thru which port. With trunking option all vlans goes all ports.

You can download the config ncfg backup edit it by adding the VLAN settings you like and upload it so you wont need to do this in Netonix VLAN web interface.

We apologize for this issue, Eric will get this fixed soon but the VLAN Trunking allows you to specify a list (does not have to be all VLANs)
