Eric said the CLI would work with 300 VLANs without clogging up but Eric said saving the config would be very slow.

Eric is working on optimizing the VLAN for both the UI and the CLI and we should be able to release an RC firmware middle to end of next week.

Sorry for the issue.

Reported bug fix update

Sun Aug 30, 2015 3:29 pm

Hi muammer,
I spoke with Eric earlier today and he has just about completed the optimization of the UI and config save/apply routines that will eliminate the issue with the switch UI dealing with 300+ VLANs.

He hopes to get me an RC version in the next couple days which I will post up for your testing and approval.

300+ VLANs will no longer bog down the UI and will save/apply the config in a approximately 10 seconds.

Normal config saves of far less VLANs will occur a little faster, in less than 5 seconds.

Once again sorry about the bug but we have been working on this to get you a better solution as fast as possible.

Thank you, we are looking forward.

Maybe you have to optimize this, when we clik on mac table on device menu it is take much more time and takes much more cpu usage. and make bog down the UI. Totaly we have 2100+ Mac addresses.

*sigh* I asked Eric to look at it.

Not sure if we can unless we allow you to turn off the manufacturer and IP look up with a check box and save it to the switch configuration?

By the way no mention of the cool things like the fact that we show the device manufacturer of each device and the last known IP address which you can click on to launch the device web UI if it has one.

As far as I know we are the only switch on the market that has these features.

By the way you realize the CPU utilization has no bearing on the switch performance as the CPU just drives the UI and CLI not the switch core.

How long does it take to compile a list of 2K MAC entries?

This must be one large flat network?

What is the actual time it takes?

Please try other browsers and let us know.

Maybe you could first show empty devs for manifacturer and IP lookup while gatering those informations and update the devs after the information is found. The manufacturer and last IP would be shown gradually.
