Yes, exacyly. I cannot say with 100% certainty about the power led, but I believe it was also off, sunny day and dark glasses don't help, but I'm pretty sure that light was as bright as the port leds when running normally.

Are you powering any device with the second Ethernet port of the LigoPTP Unity Radio? (POE Pass Through)
Are you using any Ethernet Surge Protector, if so try taking it out of the loop.

I don't know then, everything looks fine on your Tabs?
I want to say maybe in-rush of the LigoPTP possibly and since your only driving this with 12 Volts your POE budget is less than 150 watts (might be only 100 watts at 12V) and when the LigoPTP powers up it is grabbing to much current?
I know their PDF says 15 watts?
Since it is 802.3af you might want to try 48VH but you would want to verify with the manufacturer since their PDF does not specify if it will accept 802.3af Mode A or Mode B or both?
My assumption is that since it is 1G port 48VH would be safe to try?
How many feet of Ethernet cable is on this radio?
What size and length of wire is connecting the switch to the battery?
What type and brand of battery, maybe the battery is dropping voltage below 9V for a second when the switch draws power to power the LigoPTP?

The power on other netonix->ligo's usually hangs around 11 watts IIRC
Their support says no to passive POE so its only if I'm feeling lucky ( and on site ) can I try that
Radio is on < 70 feet of cat5e
Switch connected to battery bank by ~ 1 foot of 8 gauge wire
Battery bank is 8 x 100AH with less than a week in service so ... no shortage of power there

Why are you running 12V instead of 24V?
I do not know, maybe the radio is bad or the switch but you said it worked fine before the LigoPTP?

Running 12V as that is the way this site started and would be expensive to convert.
Perhaps in your spare time you could rig up a similar test and see if this is a reproduceable phenomena ?

So sub in some other 802a3af device or even just 48V passive device. Ya spare time , you know what you have when you're not doing customer service at midnight .
When I get my next DC switch I can setup a similar test, until then I'm dependent on you <grin>

I just set up a system in the lab & trying your setup works fine every time.
However, it did shut off the first time i tried it because I had my current limit set to low on my lab dc supply. That will happen
if our dc-dc switch supply can't get enough current it will shut down & not start up again until power has been removed completely.
Not saying this is the issue for sure, but when you are running at 12 volts input you will need about 5 amps or more to run your 50 watt load, and you will need
a lot more for surge power when devices switch on.
Even though you say battery's are fresh, can you make sure cable from batteries to our switch is good & heavy AWG and a real good contact to your battery's.
I will continue to try to make it fail, but no luck so far.
