RF Armor for ubiquiti AC sectors

Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:24 am

I installed some new 45 deg sectors this weekend, and RFArmor was really awesome and made some shields for the exposed rockets. They fit perfectly :hurray:

Cool. Do you prefer 802.3af PoE w/ the instant PoE over a Toughswitch or midspan?

Tried tough switch, fail. Midspan won't work due to FM antenna that it has to pass on the way tower. The adapters have worked really well.

That's awesome. I'm trying to talk the old man into running a 6-gang cluster with 60º AC's but was concerned with shielding standard rockets until the fully shielded/Airprism units are released for PtMP.

Are these RocketAC shield kits listed for sale anywhere?

Just Curious, How are you doing PtMP with an AC rocket? Privileged firmware possibly?

These are "AC sectors" with shielding built in. I think he just needed a RF Armor box for the radio.

I got one of the 60 degree units and fashoned my own box and it works great.

These are great new sectors.
