thanks a lot for your post, very much appreciated. we are working on a more robust upgrade, your issue never came up with all my testing (which was so many hours it is scary), but yours & one other indicate I missed something & am trying to dig it out....dave

This seems like a reporting problem, as the switch operates normally. Any suggestions?
Questions:
1) Are you using SFP modules? Since the I2C bus is shared with the sensors some SFP modules will cause I2C errors. Simply unplugging and plugging back in will resolve or maybe try another model SFP. It is easy to tell by simply removing module and see if issue goes away.
2) Can you reboot the device and see if the problem goes away?
The only other reason I have seen voltages reported wrong was a damaged board but you say the voltages were correct before upgrade HOWEVER we were not making them obvious when they were out of range in previous firmware so they may have been wrong before you upgraded the switch and never noticed?
After cold-booting / flashing several older versions of firmware onto this switch, voltage issues remain consistent. This must be a switch defect/damage issue that previously went unnoticed, NOT a firmware issue
Kudos for making problems more obvious to end users.

I couldn't tell from your posts, did you try a different SFP module (or at least remove SFP modules). The reported voltages are not real, if they were the switch would never work. We have seen this in the past when a SFP module was damaged because it is on the same I2C bus that the voltage sensors are on.

Please try removing the SFP module but if that does not fox the issue it is more then likely a damaged board. I am not saying that a part did not fail it is possible.
However I would guess that a current sensor is damaged?
After you remove it from service take it to your shop and unplug all cables from it.
Default it and only stay connected via 1 cable to your laptop preferably from an SFP port but if no SFP module is available connect to one port and log into the UI.
Now turn all ports (except the one to your laptop) to 24V and save and apply.
Now look at the Status Tab for a port showing watts, they should all be 0 but if you see watts on a port with nothing on it that is a damage current sensor.
Now plug a 24V device in each port 1 at a time and look for a proper watts load, if you find one with no watts but the radio is powered that is a damaged current sensor.
Or you can simply email me at chris@netonix.com and request an RMA.
If the unit has a failed not damaged part we will repair it under warranty. If the unit took damage we will repair it for a reasonable fee.
