Setting up VLANs with Netonix

Thu Dec 17, 2015 8:26 pm

I have a pretty simple question (I am new to Netonix)...

I need to set up three VLANs. The first VLAN needs to have a windows machine and one port. The second VLAN needs that same windows machine and a different port, so that windows machine needs to connect to two different VLANs. The third VLAN needs to have a Ubuntu machine and 12 ports. It does not need to talk to any other VLANs. It sounds so simple but I can not figure out how to make it work! I have uploaded a screen shot of what I have. Can someone explain why this won't work? And of course let me know how to fix the issue?

Thanks!

Your definition is hard/impossible to follow (for me anyway).

And please reduce your picture size to a more reasonable size, no need for HD screen grabs.

Maybe a network diagram and give more details.....a lot more details.

Start with what is in what ports.

Will this windows and Linux machines be expecting Tagged or Un-Tagged packets?
