Had a weird problem today we haven't figured out. We have two 24 port switches one with a .204 address and one with a .205 address. They both work fine until they are plugged into each other. Once we do that, one of them quits passing traffic. It always seems to be the same switch, the .205. If we plug a dumb netgear switch in the middle of the two they seem to work fine. It doesn't matter if loop protection is on or off and it happens with different ports on either switch.
Any ideas what might be causing this and what we should check. Probably won't be going back to the tower until after Christmas since the netgear seems to make them like each other, but I would like to figure this out and fix the root problem. This is the first site we've needed two switches at, but there will probably be others.
Merry Christmas.

Does not make sense?
What does the switch Logs say?
Please post up your Device/Status tab of both switches.

Re: Plug two 24-400As together and one stops working
We've found a bad radio at this site. It is creating errors on the port it's plugged in to and we are trying to get a new radio to install. I think it may be the cause, but not certain. I'll update when the new radio is in place.
